This camera’s picture is very stable even when utilizing maximum zoom, and the optical image stabilization is simply outstanding image stability is where this camera leaves all the little handicams in the dust! One reason this camera is in such heavy use today is that it is one of the most rugged and durable cameras ever built. The xl1 camera was meant to perform. It was built to handle anything that requires taping from wedding videography to safaris in africa. This camera has performed flawlessly for me on every occasion and will continue to do so for its next owner.

The tripod is a sunpak 7500 that had a crack on the head, the crack has been repaired with epoxy and screws. I used sony or panasonic tapes only, and recommend the sony brand as they work and look great. Note: for video editing i recommend using final cut pro on a mac for a great digital video studio combo; this camera works flawlessly with fcp’s dv firewire capture. 16x image stabilized canon lens. Canon video (vl-10li) light that uses the same batteries as the camera (bp’s). 2 good batteries with chargers (1- 7.4 vlt 7200 mah large battery) & (1- 7.4 vlt 6600 mah large battery) 2 other batteries included but they don’t last long at all. 2 canon ir remote controls. Lens hood and lens cap. 2 new extra cr2025 bios batteries use about 1 batt. Note: i’ve also cleaned the record and playback heads as recommended by canon, and additionally a cleaning tape is included. Great condition grey hard case. This mini dv offers great image quality and full digital power. The xl1’s design and manual controls offer the widest range of picture possibilities.
