The cooper mixer is highly regarded as being the most reliable and bullet proof mixers produced, and the benchmark from what the latest mixers are noe being modeled. Its dead quiet, with little to no pot noise and just a pleasure to work with. The distinct advantage to this mixer over many of its counter-parts was the simplicity of operation with features not seen before this mixer such as “pre fade listen” for each intervidual channel.

The ease of operation with the simple controls for “high pass” filters, “pan” and multiple section for monitoring make it a breeze to use.. Need i mention a light switch for being able to see the vu meters in the dark. The mixer has been regularly serviced each year and despite the odd normal wear mark on the paint is perfect.
In the ten years of owning this mixer the only thing i have had to replace is a fuse, and only once perhaps 4 years ago (and i have spares of these for you). Also included is the original operators manual. The serial number is: s/n40238. Four input channel sections including. Pan pots, high pass filters, peak indicators, pre-fade listen, level control ch. 3/4 can be independently linked for stereo applications. Output section includes: slate microphone master level control slate and oscillator. Battery test, meter illumination, limiter (on, off, link) and tape/direct switches. Analog meters (peak or vu); limiter threshold leds.

Headphone monitoring selector - l only, r only, stereo, mono, m/s. Internal/external power switch (with center off position).

10-pin ‘video’ connector (for hardwire connection to camera). 3-pin xlr’s - balanced left, right outputs. Mix bus connector (to daisy-chain additional mixers). Mic/line switches - switches xlr, &10-pin connector outputs. Unbalanced left & right outputs for wireless feeds, etc. Tape out - for cassette recorders. Monitor in - for tape return from camera/recorder. 4-pin xlr external power connector. Line and mic gain selectors (4 positions).

Mic power selectors 48 volt, 12 volt ‘t. Jensen transformer coupled inputs and outputs. Machined and anodized front panel. Multiple output connectors, balanced & unbalanced for versatility in the field.

Internal batteries: eight ‘aa’ cells. Battery life: 10-12 hours(alkaline cells/np1 battery). Thd + n (20-20 khz): 0.01% typ.
