The pd100 record sd video to readily available and low cost minidv tapes or use the higher quality dvcam tapes. This camera is perfect for those starting out in video or to shoot a specific project.

This camera is in top condition and works perfectly in record & playback. The firewire interface works 100% and has been tested by us to transfer video to the pc. The lenses are free of any scratches or marks and all functions of the camera have been tested. Everything works & there are no breaks or cracks on the camera.

We have tested every function and connector on the camera for about 3 hours just before listing and it ran all tests perfectly. Overall the camera has some small marks and scratches but the lens’s are all in excellent condition.

There are 2 batteries included with this camera, a sony np550 which seems to be good for a few hours of use. Also included is a new aftermarket larger 6800mah battery good for quite a few hours. A sony rmt-811 infra red remote control is also included. Excellent option for when you are filming yourself and need to control the recording, zoom, etc. The pd series is broadcast quality.

This camera is ideal for semi pro recording and footage from this and other similar spec pd cameras is still used on thousands of tv shows and documentaries around the globe. There is an inbuilt stereo microphone and the camera supports a 12x optical zoom.

Another bonus with this camera is the included plug on xlr microphone adaptor meaning you can plug in a standard dynamic or phantom powered mic. You can either run the camera in auto mode or manual mode locking in your gain, shutter, arpeture, white balance etc. You can view your images either thru the colour viewfinder or the 3.50 inch colour screen. The camera has an inbuilt speaker for playback. There is also a sony 0.7x wide angle lens adaptor for tight shots.

This lens does not distort the edges like a fisheye. We also include a sony power supply & sony np 550 battery & the original sony user manual. The dsr-pd100 has three 1/4 inch ccd sensors, each with 380,000 pixels(effective 360,000 pixels). This 3ccd system is designed to compliment the dvcam recording format, with a high standard of quality for this class of camera. The ccd’s in the dsr-pd100 can be switched to scan in two ways: interlace scan for recording moving images and progressive scan for recording still images.

A new optical system that compensates for unwanted camera movement without reducing image quality. A built-in 12x zoom lens is supplemented by a 48x digital zoom that can provide really close up shots. Manual control and full range auto modes. Depending on the subject, you can choose the picture quality from three modes: super fine(sfn), fine(fin) or standard(std). The dsr-pd100 records on the dvcam format to offer superior video and audio quality, and reliability for professional use. Link interface provides a single cable connection to transfer digital video and audio with virtually no generational loss. The dsr-pd100 is capable of pcm digital recording of stereo sound in both 48 khz mode(16-bit) and 32khz mode(12-bit).

When a recording has been made in 12-bit mode, another stereo channel can be added later. A 0.7x wide conversion lens is supplied, complete with lens hood, lens cap and protective bag. The dsr-pd100 has a 3.5-inch color lcd monitor with 184,000 pixels, opening 90 degrees to the side and swiveling 180 degrees. The infolithium battery system is incorporated in the dsr-pd100.

The supplied np-f550 battery communicates with the camcorder so that the dsr-pd100 can indicate the remaining battery capacity within one minute of accuracy. The color viewfinder uses a 180,000 pixel precision lcd for accurate focusing, white balancing and so on.

Memory stick media and pc card adaptor. The memory stick is sony’s removable ic memory medium. A 4 mb memory stick is supplied with the camcorder.
