mini Gimbal head on ebay, anyone has used it? [Archive] - Canon Digital Photography Forums
Something like this here http//cgi. Its been a few months and i have read a lot about tripod and tripod heads, but still cant make up my mind. I have a Dolica aluminum tripod with ball head, it does the job, but when i had the 70-200 f4 non-IS before, it was drooping, and easily shakes if the wind is blowing. That was when i decided to look for a decent tripod that can hold a heavier lens. Looking at ebay, i saw a mini gimbal head which looks nice, i tried searching here but most i see was…

Has any one bought or used a d/v gimbal head from india, they are advertised on e/bay, reasonable price but are they any good, sorry for a double post but i put this in the scope section by mistake B.I’ve got one of these. When I first mounted it on the tripod it turned fine but after five minutes it was making a grinding sound. I had to take it apart and clean out sand that had been left over from the casting of the arm. Once it had been cleaned and lubricated with some of the teflon…

I currently have use Velbon tripods and heads. I am confident im covered with a good tripod as its a carbon fibre one and is nice stable, the head however im not so confident in (PH157Q). So im guessing I should be looking for a gimbal? Specifically a budget gimbal! Any advice welcome. Anyone used a Manfrotto…

Hi, I started digiscoping the past winter, using Nikon spotting scope with S95 compact camera and later on also using the scope as a lens for my DSLR. I have achieved results I am quite pleased with and based on this I am considering taking next steps to with the ambition to get even higher image quality at long range. The photos on display in this section of the forum are really inspiring and I would like to better understand astro/telescope setups, what setups are proven to work and what…
